This is the Top Ten List of Hardcover Nonfiction Books in the April 24th, 2009 edition of the New York Times. This week’s list features 3 new books in the list.

1 Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, by Mark R. Levin. A conservative manifesto from a talk-show host and president of Landmark Legal Foundation.

2 Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist, by Michael J. Fox. Fox’s last 10 years, since he retired from “Spin City;” his struggles with Parkinson’s disease and his work as an activist through his foundation.

3 OUTLIERS: The Story of Success, by Malcolm Gladwell. Why some people succeed — it has to do with luck and opportunities as well as talent — from the author of “Blink” and “The Tipping Point.”

4 Mommywood, by Tori Spelling with Hilary Liftin. Humorous stories about Hollywood motherhood.

5 Columbine, by Dave Cullen. A full account of the Columbine massacre 10 years later explores the killers’ psychology and debunks myths; by a journalist who covered the story from the beginning.

6 House of Cards: A Tale of Hubris and Wretched Excess on Wall Street, by William D. Cohan. The fall of Bear Stearns and the beginning of the Wall Street collapse.

7 Might As Well Laugh About It Now, by Marie Osmond with Marcia Wilkie. The actress and singer shares her perspectives on life.

8 Just When I Thought I’d Dropped My Last Egg: Life and Other Calamities, by Kathie Lee Gifford. Observations and life lessons from the television host.

9 A BOLD FRESH PIECE OF HUMANITY, by Bill O’Reilly. The Fox News commentator on his upbringing and career.

10 The Yankee Years, by Joe Torre and Tom Verducci. The former Yankee manager (1996-2007) on his years with the team.
