
This is the top 10 Non fiction book list on HARDCOVER, for the March 6th, 2009 edition of the New York Times. This week’s list is as follows:

2 OUTLIERS: The Story of Success, by Malcolm Gladwell. Why some people succeed — it has to do with luck and opportunities as well as talent — from the author of “Blink” and “The Tipping Point.”
3 DEWEY, by Vicki Myron with Bret Witter. (Grand Central, $19.99.) The kitten left freezing in the returned-book slot of an Iowa public library and his rise to fame.
4 The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon, by David Grann. A New Yorker writer searches for a British explorer who disappeared 80 years ago in the Amazon.
5 Out of Captivity: Surviving 1,967 Days in the Colombian Jungle, by Marc Gonsalves, Keith Stansell, Tom Howes and Gary Brozek. Three contractors escape from Colombian guerrillas.
6 Multiple Blessings: Surviving to Thriving with Twins and Sextuplets, by Jon Gosselin, Kate Gosselin and Beth Carson. A couple has sextuplets.
7 Last Lion: The Fall and Rise of Ted Kennedy, edited by Peter S. Canellos. Ted Kennedy’s career, with contributions from a team of six Boston Globe reporters.
8 Obama: The Historic Journey, with an introduction by Bill Keller and biographical text by Jill Abramson. The journey to the White House, with commentary, photographs and graphics from members of the New York Times staff.
9 A BOLD FRESH PIECE OF HUMANITY, by Bill O’Reilly. The Fox News commentator on his upbringing and career.
10 The Inaugural Address, 2009: Together with Abraham Lincoln’s First and Second Inaugural Addresses and The Gettysburg Address and Ralph Waldo Emerson’s Self-Reliance, by Barack Obama. Obama’s Inaugural Address as well as two by Lincoln, the Gettysburg Address and an Emerson essay.
