BeALeader.Net is a Web Site conceived to expand the knowledge of Leadership, and to be the starting point for millions whose only access to reading material is the Internet.
Why Leadership? Because its implications are so profound on the interactions among people and groups that it cannot be ignored. Take for instance Africa, and the developing world. There's a big need for formal education in core competences, and Leadership it's a key skill to develop for all those nations.
My name is Kenneth R. Valenzuela, I'm an Industrial Engineer from Santiago, Chile. I've got my title from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, and I've worked in the Software Industry since 1994. I became interested on Leadership in the year 2005. Since then I have studied the subject. Last year, specifically in August, I decided to start a web site to expand my knowledge about Leadership, and in doing so, help others to expand their knowledge too.
I see BeALeader.Net as a starting point to learn about Leadership. There are several web sites that deal with the subject in a very serious and professional way. I think there's still plenty of space to raise the voice from South America and give the world the chance to have another point of view on this subject. By the way, that's why the main language of the site is English.
I'm not as proficient in English as I would like to be, but I know that with practice and perseverance that will come, as well as I'm trying to improve my leadership skills.
