Paul Arden's Book Review

A short review, by Ken Valenzuela, BeALeader.Net's Chief Editor

I just got my hands on this interesting book,it's really nice. The book is basically a collection of 53 topics and ideas about them. Most of the topics are seen from a publicist point of view, but you can certainly get a lot from it. Some of the topics are just a quote, or just two or three phrases. At the end, there's a little collection of famous quotes that I'm sure you'll find good too. There are various illustrations to make the case for the ideas presented in the book. If you're not used to see publicists books or art books, you might even feel uncomfortable. But, I encourage you to open a little bit your mind, and look at it with no expectations... just flip through its pages, and you might find a gem for you.

Most of you, suscribers and non-suscribers of the site, might say, What this book has to do with leadership? My answer is: nothing and everything. I don't think I read the word leadership in any of its pages, but everything it was told there has to do with the way we see things. And that alone to me has a lot to do with leadership. I don't think the book it's really a breakthrough, but it's certainly a rest in the road to be a leader, and take a different view, another point of view at the topics the book covers.

By the way, it's just 128 pages, and it has a lot of illustrations. I read it in under an hour. It's an ideal companion for some quick trips, or moments of inspiration. The thing is, you can go back through it again and again.

If you have the chance to look at the reviews in Amazon.com, you'll see some bad comments about it. Let me tell you my opinion: the book it's nice, most of the ideas are not really "new", but it's good to have them all in one place. As I said before, it's good to take different points of view, that will enrich your own.

If you want to lead in today's world, you have to be open to new points of views and ideas
